For this group, we want to lay out the key HR issues/areas all family firms face, and guide them in the development of effective systems and processes that fit their unique situation.

Components of a systematic approach to selection include clarity on the job description/terms, a range of means to assess candidate fit, a clear process for making hiring decisions and negotiating terms of hire, and a planned process for introducing new hires—especially family employees—to the firm.
